I layered my Magenta foil over my new Color Club Wing Fling. I could have matched the shade more accurately but I definitely just wanted to play with my new polishes! This was 2 coats. The formula was great and I don't know if it was just me but the brush in this one was awesome and super easy to control and spread. I'm only slightly bothered by the VNL, and maybe I'll try it again with another coat to see if that does anything. Since I was planning on putting foil over it, I wasn't terribly upset.
Keep reading for the full review and the awesome Magenta Foil!
Pro's:
- Saturated formula (2 coats)
- Awesome brush
- Quick dry time
- VNL
Dude. Check that out. That is awesome. It's so multichromatic and shiny and ooooooooo! It's awesome.
So here's what I noticed: hand sanitizer makes the water-based varnish that I've been using to coat my foils super sticky. And then if you touch your nails right afterwards, the foil starts to come off. It's really interesting, actually. However this means that I probably won't be wearing foils for the next couple of months since there is a crazy flu epidemic going around my campus. Gotta keep myself healthy, even if it means no foils. I'm still sad though :(
But I have these to keep me occupied:
I got my free Zoya polishes in the mail! I just had to pay $10 for shipping, best deal ever. In order, I have Aurora (which was a part of the Holiday 2012 collection that Scrangie did awesome swatches for here), Ki, and Valerie (which looks way different in person than the pictures I've seen. We'll see what happens though!).
I hope to have swatches/reviews up soon! But granted, I'm the most incredible procrastinator and I get distracted very easily. So we'll see!
