Nubar Purple Rain Glitter

So this polish is really really special to me as of now.  Why, you ask? Because it's my 300th nail polish!!! Woohoo! *Showers of confetti and glitter*

I know that I'm still in the infant stage of my collection, but this was a huge milestone for me! So I'm very excited about it.  On to the swatches!

So Purple Rain is a gorgeous purple base with lavender and holo glitter (who would have thought?). In the bottle, it looks a lot lighter than it actually is, and the holo glitter is much more obvious.  As much as I wish it looked like that on the nail, the color you actually get is also really really pretty.  The glitter is much less visible, but the formula and coverage was good (this was opaque in 2 coats!). It applied really smoothly.  The first coat looked pretty streaky, but that was easily remedied with the second coat. I don't have any other colors like this in my collection, but of course, I'm still a baby collector.  I purchased it on Amazon for about $8.50 including shipping.

Artificial lighting

Pro's:

• Only 2 coats for opacity
• Holo glitter. Who doesn't love holo glitter?
• Smooth formula that didn't require extra topcoat

Con's:

• It doesn't look the same on the nail as it does in the bottle, which is unfortunate because the bottle color is so damn perty.

Overall, I'm going to give Purple Rain an A- , only because I love the bottle color better (a lame reason, I know).  It's still definitely worth it to have.
